Fall Back in Love with Yoga!

It’s the first of September and there’s a hint of fall in the air: cool mornings, warm afternoons, and blue skies. Don’t get me wrong – I’m not rushing autumn. I love summer! Give me all the sunshine and hot weather. But I have to admit, I always feel a little relief this time of year. Summer, despite all the sunshine and fun that comes with it, can be chaotic and exhausting. But now . . . vacations are over; kids and teachers are back in school; and we all start to settle into more structured routines that make our nervous systems happier.

You know what else makes our nervous systems happier? YOGA! If your yoga practice has been erratic (or non-existent) this summer, it’s time to get back to the mat and reestablish a regular practice. And Main Street Yoga offers plenty of opportunities for you to do so. Here’s our current weekly schedule:

Saturday:                 9:00 – Bhakti Flow & Yin with Angela

Sunday:                    6:00 – Yin or Restorative with Erin

You can find class descriptions and teacher bios on the MSY website. Once you’re there, you can purchase a class package and schedule your classes. It’s not necessary to pre-register for classes – you’re welcome to drop in last minute. However, pre-registration will help ensure that your class stays on the schedule. If a class has been cancelled, it will no longer appear on the registration page. You can also pay for classes and packages with cash at the studio, if you prefer. If you’re paying with a card, using the links on our website is the easiest option.

COMING IN OCTOBER: A weekday morning class, and the return of our 30-minute lunchtime “yoga refresh!” Keep an eye on the schedule!

In addition to our regularly-scheduled classes, I’m offering several in-depth workshops in the upcoming months. You’ll see a few of them on the bottom of the MSY homepage, and you can find a full list on our events page. The list is (pretty much) complete through the end of October (I’ll probably add an Ayurveda workshop, and “Spa Renewal” has been rescheduled for October 8th). I’ll be adding more in November and December as well, so stay tuned.

Speaking of Ayurveda, I’ve decided to offer a discounted mini version of “Body Wisdom” this fall. Body Wisdom is a healthy lifestyle course based on the teachings of Ayurveda – yoga’s sister science.
