This is just a quick mid-month update to tell you about a few new things happening at Main Street Yoga.
First, yoga teacher training starts this Sunday, March 20th, and I've decided to open up our asana (posture) workshops to everyone! Join Main Street Yoga's yoga teacher trainees for in-depth asana workshops where we break down the mechanics of each pose and explore modifications and variations. You must register separately for each workshop. RYT 200 teachers can earn two contact hours of continuing education for each workshop.

April 3rd – sun salutations b and c
April 16th – standing poses (this is a Saturday)
May 1st – standing balance
May 15th – core refinement
May 29th – backbends
June 12th – seated and supine twists
June 26th – forward bends and hip openers
Beginning at the end of March and continuing into April, I'll be leading the Body Wisdom members through a spring detox. Just like the asana workshops, I am opening this up to anyone who wants to participate. If you've been curious about how the Body Wisdom membership works, this is a good opportunity to take a sneak peek into how we do things.
The changing of seasons is an ideal time to establish a state of balance, experience connection, and enjoy optimal health. Join us as we rid the body and mind of winter stagnation, improve digestion, and promote peace of mind so that we can enjoy a healthy spring. During this gentle cleanse, we’ll eat a simple diet that includes the foods that nature provides for us at this time of year. You’ll have the opportunity to design your own meal plan based on the foods you prefer to eat. We’ll learn practices that support our body’s ability to cleanse and detoxify itself. We’ll prioritize rest and relaxation.
Your registration fee of $55* includes:
3 meetings with the “Spring Cleaning” group
A private Facebook group for support and sharing information
A free warm vinyasa class
Lots of information to assist you during this transitional time of year
*Members of “Body Wisdom” can participate for free.

Sunday, March 27th at 3:30 – Orientation/Easing In Meeting – in person or online
Monday, April 4th at 6:30 – Cleanse Week Meeting – online only
Sunday, April 10th at 3:30 – Easing Out Meeting – in person or online
All meetings will be recorded in case you can't attend live.
Finally, on Saturday, April 2nd, Main Street yoga is celebrating its 6th anniversary! On April 1st, 2016, Main Street Yoga opened its doors to a packed house! Since then, we've experienced a lot of growth and some setbacks (Thanks, Covid.). And we're ready to CELEBRATE with a day full of FREE classes, demos, and talks as well as a ton of giveaways!! We're eternally grateful to those of you who continue to show up week after week and year after year. But believe it or not, there are still some people who don't know we exist.
