Happy Autumn, everyone! The leaves are changing colors and there’s a chill in the air. The change of seasons has brought some changes to Main Street Yoga as well. We have two new teachers on the roster, two new classes on the schedule, and one class is making a comeback.
Also making a comeback on Friday, October 2nd is Relax & Recharge, now available by appointment. Jen, Paula, Judy, and Suzy are back and ready to help you create a free flow of energy with a Reiki session and gain intuitive insight with a Tarot reading. Only a few spots remain. Claim yours now!
On Monday, October 5th at 4:30pm, Paula is bringing back Balance & Breath, an all-levels class blending breath, meditation, and balancing asanas to bring physical and emotional balance to your week. Register in advance to attend in person or live online.
Yinyasa, a brand new class taught by Jessica Stidham, debuts at 5:30pm on Thursday, October 8th! As you might have guessed, “yinyasa” is Jess’s blend of yin yoga (her favorite) and vinyasa. Jessica has been subbing for Jen on Tuesdays, and the feedback has been phenomenal. She’s a hit with all the MSY regulars! If you haven’t had the pleasure of practicing with her, get on the schedule now because this class is offered in-studio only, and it’s sure to fill.
Friday, October 9th at 5:30pm offers our second new class, Bend & Balance, taught by MSY yoga teacher trainee, Alex White. This moderate flow class is designed to help you find courage, stability, and growth with each breath and movement. Alex loves Friday evening classes for their ability to help her let go of the work week and start her weekend in a positive state of mind. Alex is nothing if not positive; her smile and laugh are absolutely infectious!
After her short break in September, Jen is back with us on Tuesdays and Saturdays! She’s also offering Illuminated Reiki 1 on Saturday, October 17th. Reiki is a safe and effective energy modality that is beneficial to everyone. Level 1 training focuses on self-reiki. You will learn the technique and hand placements, receive the Reiki attunement, an informational guide, and more! Become attuned to the universal life force energy and allow it to empower you! Last, but certainly not least, the next round of Body Wisdom starts on Wednesday October 7th! Body Wisdom is a healthy lifestyle program offered through Main Street Yoga. It's based on the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, modern behavioral science, and group accountability. Our first group kicked off in January 2018.
