In the yoga tradition, the breath is said to carry a person's life force. Learn how to tap into yours.
Pranayama is the fourth of Patanjali's 8 limbs of yoga, falling in between asana (the poses) and the various stages of meditation. “Prana” means “life force” or “breath sustaining the body;” “Ayama” translates as "to extend or draw out." Together, the two mean breath extension or control.
In this workshop, we'll explore the physiology of breathing and experience different pranayama techniques designed to control our life force energy, as well as when and how to practice specific pranayama practices.
