Your breath is the interface between your body and your mind. Pranayama (breath control) is the fourth limb of the eight limbs of yoga. It is our tool for circulating prana - life force energy - through the body. The ancient yogis identified five different types of prana: vitalizing, cleansing, nourishing, expansive, and expressive. Join us as we use our breath to explore these five "vayus" and learn to use specific breathing exercises in order to cultivate physical health, mental and emotional wellbeing, inner balance, and harmony.
It is recommended, but not required that you attend "Breathe: An Introduction to Pranayama" or have some familiarity with the practice of pranayama before attended this workshop. RYTs can earn 3 CEUs with Yoga Alliance.
