In our full, fast-paced modern lives, too many of us fail to take time to slow down and restore the body and mind. The result is an ever-escalating cycle of stress that can wreak havoc on our health. In this workshop, we'll learn how to use restorative yoga to nurture the body and mind and to reverse the cycle of stress.
Topics will include: the physiology of stress and relaxation; effective breathing techniques for relaxation; how to sequence restorative postures; the use of props, including bolsters, blankets, blocks, and sandbags; the use of marma points in hands-on assists; and incorporating guided meditations and yoga nidra.
This workshop will include lecture, discussion, practice, and student teaching. Registered Yoga Teachers can earn 7 contact hours of continuing education. Space is limited. Register today.
