Yin Yoga is a quiet practice focused on flexibility. It involves holding and exploring poses for longer periods of time in order to target deeper connective tissue and calm the nervous system. In this 6-hour workshop, we'll dive into the what, why and how of yin yoga, including the physical postures, gross anatomy (muscles and connective tissue), subtle anatomy (koshas and meridians), and the mental and physical benefits of the practice. We'll also talk about how to blend yin poses into a more yang practice like vinyasa yoga.
